Kitale Coffee Company
Kitale Coffee Company was founded by three people who grew up on coffee farms in the Western highlands of Kenya: Paul, Julius, and Wanjala. They know firsthand what coffee means to farming families, and they built Kitale to honor that — creating direct relationships with Kenyan producers in a market where more than 90% of coffee is sold through auction, with no direct connection between grower and buyer. That makes Kitale's model genuinely rare and genuinely important. Their focus is on small-holder farmers and lesser-known Kenyan growing regions, bringing exceptional, affordable, high-grade Kenyan coffees to the world one direct relationship at a time. In the cup, expect the full, dazzling spectrum of what Kenya can do: big-bodied, citrusy, honeyed, and bursting with luscious fruit. Start Here: Kenya Matunda AA, a sparkling, fruit-forward lot with pink grapefruit brightness, a honeyed body, and a juicy watermelon finish. Think fresh Paloma cocktail in a mug. Absolutely stunning over ice.
